EVERYONE LOCK IN! The 2025 World Series takes the mound this Friday, and we can promise you that you don’t want to miss it. This MLB postseason has been full of extra innings of chaos, walk-offs, shutouts, heartbreak, and highlight reels for days. Now we are down to two all-star powerhouse teams that are determined to take the trophy home. So grab your peanuts and Cracker Jacks, because this is our Sportsish World Series 101— and it’ll have you screaming PLAY BALL!!!
THE TEAMS- LA Dodgers vs Toronto Blue Jays
It’s a storybook show, your classic David vs. Goliath. After a nail-biting Game 7, the Toronto Blue Jays punched their ticket to the World Series, sending the Mariners packing and making history — this is their first World Series appearance in 32 years. The last time they made it? Back-to-back championships in 1992 and 1993. Talk about a comeback era. They are definitely the David in this case. That raises the question: Who is the Goliath? That would be the one and only LA Dodgers. The Dodgers have essentially been the blueprint for dominance, accumulating eight championship titles and fresh off a World Series win last year against the Yankees. You could say they are going for their own back-to-back champ title. You could say they’re chasing their own back-to-back crown.
So on one side, we’ve got the scrappy underdogs ready to shock the world. On the other hand, the seasoned powerhouse was built for October. Who will come out on top? Only time will tell, but we know it’ll be a home run.
THE STADIUMS- Dodgers Stadium vs Rodgers Center
These iconic stadiums are giving pure October vibes because it is truly where the magic happens. This Friday, the action kicks off on the Blue Jays’ home turf, the iconic Rogers Centre. Smack in the heart of downtown Toronto, the Rogers Centre sits right under the glowing CN Tower — basically the city’s own version of stadium bling. The stadium is best known for its revolutionary roof. Wait what??? What is so special about a Roof?? Listen closely because it’s a total game-changer. It was the first fully motorized, retractable roof in the world, which means whether it’s sunshine or sweater weather, baseball is always on deck.
However, Toronto isn’t the only city that serves up peak fall baseball vibes. Sometimes the classics just hit different — and Dodger Stadium proves it. The third-oldest ballpark in the MLB, it’s basically baseball royalty, packed with decades of drama, dingers, and Dodger-blue memories. Nestled in the heart of LA, the ballpark offers spectacular views of the downtown Los Angeles skyline and even a peek at the Hollywood sign. And get this: Dodger Stadium is widely known to be the birthplace of the high five. Ya, you heard us right, back in 1977, outfielder Glenn Burke slapped palms with his teammate Dusty Baker to celebrate a home run, and baseball history (and every gym-class celebration) was changed forever. The vibes are legendary, and the energy is filled with Pure Hollywood magic.
The MVPs- (Most Vibe-able Players)
Shohei Ohtani- THE UNICORN
He is literally HIM. Shoehei Ohtani is literally rewriting baseball HISTORY. If there is a record out there, he has probably already broken it. He is defining what it means to be a double threat: strikes people out in his sleep and hits home runs like it’s light work. He has fully earned his name as baseball’s unicorn, giving main character energy on both sides of the ball. Ohtani’s story is straight out of a sports movie — growing up in rural Japan, chasing the big leagues, and never once doubting his worth. Now? He’s the face of the game. Off the field, he is just as much of an icon. In February 2024, he married former pro basketball player Mamiko Tanaka, and the two welcomed their first daughter in April. Let’s just say with those athletic genes, that little girl is bound for greatness.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr.- LIKE FATHER LIKE SON
The Canadian-Dominican slugger has led the Blue Jays this season with 23 home runs, proving he’s not just carrying the team — he’s carrying a legacy. But off the field, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., otherwise known as “Vladdy,” has shown us what baseball is really about: family. And you know what they say… the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. His dad, Vladimir Guerrero Sr., was a Hall of Famer and an absolute icon, known as the “bad-ball hitter” — a guy who could turn even the wildest pitches into hits. Oh, and he did it all without batting gloves. Talk about hardcore. Recently, Vladdy shared a video message from his dad that he watches before games — his personal pep talk. In it, Sr. says, “I didn’t know when I gave you my name, I’d also give you my swing and my love for this game.” (Cue the tears.) Vladdy says, “(his) personal goal is to win a World Series and give the ring to (his) dad.” Truly, nothing beats a father-son relationship, and we are obsessed with these two.
Clayton Kershaw- THE VETERAN
Clayton Kershaw? He’s still around?! Yes, yes, he is. And quite frankly, we hope he never leaves. His name alone feels like October baseball. The Dodgers’ left-handed legend has been the heart and soul of LA baseball for nearly two decades — a walking highlight reel, a leader in every sense, and the definition of loyalty. After his emotional retirement announcement in September, the stakes are significantly higher for every Dodger fan out there. His presence can quite literally shift momentum. His playoff and World Series experience matters. He’s the guy you trust when everything’s on the line — the calm in the chaos. He still brings that same quiet fire to every single game, and he’s the guy that makes you lean forward on your couch and whisper, “He’s still got it.” For Kershaw, this isn’t just another series. It’s legacy time.
George Springer- THE GAME 7 HERO
George Springer might as well be called The Clutch King. He has built a career on showing up exactly when his team needs him most. The old veteran is precisely what every team needs, a calm in the postseason chaos. He is the guy who turns a quiet inning into a full-on fireworks show. After smashing a three-run homer in Game 7 against the Mariners to send the Blue Jays to the World Series, Springer reminded everyone why he’s built for this. He’s been here before, he thrives under pressure, and he’s got that “been there, done that” aura that every contender needs. He brings the big-league vibes, the leadership, and is all too familiar with that special October magic. When he steps up to the plate, the whole stadium leans in. Springer really does step up when he is needed most and is saving the hearts of Blue Jays fans all over Canada. He’s married to former college softball star Charlise Castro, and together they’re raising two beautiful kids — easily one of baseball’s most wholesome power families.
No matter who takes home the trophy, this World Series is already one for the storybooks. It’s the ultimate clash of underdogs and dynasties, all playing out under the bright lights of October. It’s about heart, history, and home runs — the kind of magic that reminds us why we fell in love with baseball in the first place.

I'd like to congratulate MLB, The Blue Jays Org, players and especially the fans in the best dual Anthem presentation & response ever! No boos no tension. Just Honor & Respect. Pharrell's Voices of Fire knocked it outta the park.
Lets keep the good vibes going throughout the Series as an example of decent human behavior, especially in these stressful times between two longtime best friends.
Oh yea, Go Toronto! but no sweep. You want to win at home right? Blue Jays win @ home in game seven! Six could work too!
